The win also extended the Terriers' current winning streak to eight games, one shy of tying its longest ever winning streak of nine games, which was accomplished in the 2008 season.
Junior Jessica Luscinski scored her eighth goal of the season in the 61st minute for what turned out to be the game winner. The goal was Luscinski eight of the season and moved her into a three-way tie for 10th place among BU's all-time scoring leaders.
Dartmouth took control early in the game and appeared to have scored in the 15th minute when freshman Allison headed the ball into the net. But the play was called offside and the teams went into the locker room scoreless at half time having muster just three shots apiece.
In the second half, BU's shot advantage of 12-3 eventually led to Luscinski giving them a definitive edge when she unleashed a shot to the far right post that Dartmouth's Colleen Hogan was unable to reach.
Boston's overall 15-6 shot advantage was not reflective of a game that was played much closer than that. Back-to-back corner kicks for Dartmouth as time was running down did add drama to the end of the gam but the BU backline cleared away the crosses as time expired.
BU Coach Nancy Feldman is a 22-year coaching veteran, who currently ranks 13th all-time with 292 career victories and 12th among Division I coaches.
