UConn Places Two on First Team

UConn's Meghan Schnur

Two University of Connecticut women's soccer players earned first-team selections on the 2007 NSCAA/adidas Division I All-America Team.

Senior midfielder Meghan Schnur and junior back Brittany Taylor were recognized as two of the best players in the country, making the Huskies one of schools to place more than one player on the teams.

Schnur and Taylor were joined on the first team by Seymour, Conn., native Alyssa Naeher, who earned the First Team's goaltender nod as a sophomore at Penn State.

Another Connecticut transplant playing at Penn State, Katie Schoepfer of Waterford, made the Second Team as a sophomore forward.
