WPSL Recognizes Three Locals

Trio Part of League's Team of the Week

Three players with local ties have been recognized in the WPSL’s Team of the Week.

Bay State Select defender Michelle Kielty, a sophomore at Boston University, played superbly in a 1-0 win at Central Delaware. She kept the Future forwards at bay and helped preserve the road shutout for the gritty WPSL East side.

Also named to the team was Vicki DiMartino, an incoming freshman for Boston College. Making her debut for the Long Island Fury, she scored a pair of goals in the team’s 3-2 victory over Philadelphia.

Boston Aztec player-coach Rebekah Splaine was an honorable mention to the team of the week after scoring two goals in a 3-0 win over Millburn.
