Voltage Zapped by Cape Cod

Crusaders Score Five Straight in Win

May 25, 2008

Graham Munro scored twice and Yan Klukowski added a goal and an assist as the Cape Cod Crusaders pounced on the Vermont Voltage, 5-2, Friday night in PDL play.

Cape Cod (3-1-0) fell behind, 1-0, on Matthew Stedman’s 13th-minute goal but regrouped and fired off the next five goals.

The first was Munro’s penalty strike (37’) then goal by Chris Banks three minutes later. Klukowski set up Liam Maloney in the 55th minute and scored one of his own in the 73rd. Those plays sandwiched another tally from Munro, who deposited a Jordan Lynn feed in the 66th.

The Voltage would make it 5-2 with a PK goal of their own from Dan Stevens in the 80th minute, but that’s as close as they could get.
