June 15, 2008

The New Hampshire-Vermont border war kicked off Saturday with a hard-fought 1-1 battle between the Phantoms and Voltage in Premier Development League action.

A quick goal from Steve Bonnell in the 13th minute of the game gave the Phantoms the 1-0 lead.

But Vermont worked hard for the equalizer ad in the 26th minute, their hard work and quick counter attacks quickly paid off when a through ball was sliced across the six yard box by defender Panos Georgiadis to a trailing forward Darko Kolic who finished it off.

The Phantoms moved to 3-1-3 on the season while the Voltage’s record now stands at 2-4-1.
