Voltage Draw with Phantoms
Rival Sides Play to 1-1 Stalemate

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- The rival Vermont Voltage and New Hampshire Phantoms played to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night.
The game remained scoreless until the 79th minute of play when Vermont�s Pano Georgiadis drew a foul just inside the 18-yard box. Voltage defender Drago Ceranic took the penalty kick and gave the Voltage a 1-0 lead.
However, less than four minutes later Phantom forward TJ Thompson slipped a well placed shot past the outstretched arm of Voltage goalkeeper Jason Burnett to tie the game, 1-1.
Burnett provided eight saves on nince shots from the Phantoms, while Phantom goalkeeper Tim Murray, a product of Providence College, totaled six saves on seven shots from the Voltage.
The two clubs were playing for the second time this week, as Vermont gutted out a 4-2 win on Saturday.
