Vermont Tops Neighbors in PDL Action, 4-2

The Vermont Voltage moved to 3-2 on the season with a 4-2 home victory over the New Hampshire Phantoms Saturday.
Diego Manyanga gave the Voltage an early 1-0 lead with a well struck ball from 35 yards out. Twenty minutes later Lukas Petersen tapped in an easy rebound to increase the Voltage lead to 2-0.
Just ten minutes later, Juan Peralta assisted Petersen�s second goal of the match to make it a 3-0 Voltage lead.
The Phantoms cut their deficit to two when Nick Powell scored from just over 40 yards out. Although trailing 3-1 at the half, New Hampshire made a late push to cut the lead to one on a well placed shot by Ranu Suliman.
Voltage captain Tomy Szczypiorski put the match away for the Voltage with a goal in the 81st minute of play. Voltage goalkeeper Hank Stebbins played solid in net, providing four saves on six shots.
