Drop Six Places Despite Undefeated '08

The U.S. National Team fell six places to 26th in the latest FIFA world rankings released Wednesday, despite going undefeated in its only two matches of 2008.

The Americans beat Sweden, 2-0, in Carson, Calif. Jan. 19 and tied Mexico, 2-2, in Houston Feb. 6.

Argentina, Brazil and Italy remained the top three teams in the world. The next FIFA ranking will be released March 12.

In other U.S. news, The U.S. Soccer Federation finalized exhibition games for the American national team at Poland on March 26 and at Spain on June 4.

The game at Poland will be played in Krakow, the USSF said Monday. The site for the game in Spain has not yet been set.

In addition, the News of the World reported Sunday that the United States may replace Scotland as an opponent for England in an exhibition game at Wembley on May 28.
