May 8, 2008

Two players from local clubs are shipping out to U.S. Under-14 and U15 camps, respectively.

Devin Devoy of FC Greater Boston is taking part in an eight-day camp at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., with the rest of the U14 boys’ national team and James Petruccelli of New Hampshire’s Seacoast United is headed to Madrid Friday for the U15’s 10-day camp.

Under-14 coach Manny Schellscheidt has called in 38 players including Devoy, a forward from Mass., to scrimmage local club teams in the Carson area.

Under-15 coach Jim Barlow has named 20 players for the trip to Madrid, including midfielder Petruccelli, where they will take on youth squads from La Liga's Real Madrid as well as three other clubs.
