Three Make DI Women's All-Americans

No Local Players on First or Second Team

Three players from local colleges made the NSCAA Division I Women’s All-American Third Team.

NU's Veronica Napoli was named to the DI Women's All-American Third Team. (Northeastern Athletics).

Boston College freshman goalkeeper Jill Mastroianni, Fairfield senior midfielder Ahna Johnson and Northeastern freshman forward Veronica Napoli were all selected to the first team. No local players made the First or Second Team.

Mastroianni played in 22 games for the Eagles, allowing just 17 goals for a 0.79 goals-against average and .851 save percentage.

Johnson earned the MAAC Offensive Player of the Year award this season. She led the Stags with 15 goals, including seven game-winning tallies, and 34 points. Johnson was named the MAAC Tournament MVP after netting all three goals in the championship game win over Loyola.

Napoli had an outstanding rookie season as she led the Huskies with a scoring line of 12-5-29. She earned the CAA Rookie of the Year Award and was also named to the All-CAA third team and the All-CAA rookie team. The speedy freshman scored her first collegiate hat trick in an overtime win against Drexel.
