Synergy Surprise Team at Disney Showcase

Vermont Team Makes Mark

Synergy FC of Vermont was the surprise of the Disney Soccer Showcase this weekend, making it all the way to the semifinals before being elimintaed in the boys U-15 division.

Synergy finished in first place in Bracket B of the U-15 division with nine points before falling to the RSL Florida Kickers, 3-0, in the bracket's semifinal round.

In other results from the showcase, held in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., CASL Elite won a pair of championships in the boys division. The North Carolina club beat English club Chelsea's academy team, 2-1, in the U-16 final and downed Andromeda (Texas), 1-0, in the U-17 championship.
