Soccer Camps in Massachsusetts
Man, there are a lot of soccer camps in Massachusetts! So the soccer family ought to be able to find something for every level of play and commitment.
The granddaddy of this highly competitive industry is probably former New England Patriots kicker John Smith, who has been in the camp business for almost 40 years. Smith virtually invented the soccer camp business in Massachusetts, and used to run dozens of day camps in towns all across eastern Mass. More recently, he's focused on doing fewer camps, but more of the overnight variety.
In terms of sheer scale, his mantle has been taken over by Mass. Premier Soccer and Play Soccer. These two companies run more soccer camps in Massachusetts than anyone. MPS President Joe Bradley actually began his soccer career running camps for Play Soccer. Now they are competitors in the central and eastern parts of the state.
A similar situation has evolved in reverse on the Cape where former MPS camp director, Paul Turner, is now a fierce competitor of the camps program that MPS runs through their USL team, the Cape Cod Crusaders. More recently, the New England Revolution have got into the business, and now run camps in a number of communities all across the commonwealth.
There are, of course, dozens of other, smaller operators, and we've done our best to list them all here. If we've missed any, it's easy to submit your camp information here. And if you'd like a nice looking ad like the ones you see throughout these pages, see here.
Here, then, is our list of soccer camps in Massachusetts. It's listed first by date, then within each date range, by town listed alphabetically.
