Ritter Earns Big East Acclaim

PC Forward Named Conference Offensive Player of the Week

Providence College men�s soccer forward Timothy Ritter (Weston, Mass.) was named Big East Offensive Player of the Week Monday.

It marks the first time that Ritter has earned a league player of the week honor.

Ritter, a senior, led Providence to a pair of 1-0 victories last week. Tuesday, the two-time All-Big East Third Team selection scored with 1:47 left in double overtime to lead the Friars to a season-opening triumph at Sacred Heart. Saturday, Ritter recorded his second goal of the season in the fourth minute of the match as Providence defeated Holy Cross in the home opener at Glay Field.

After traveling to Boston University Monday night, the Friars host Northeastern Saturday at 1 p.m.
