Now the team continues its toughest stretch of the season with a trip to Canada to play in the sold-out hostile crowd at BMO Field. The Revs have beaten Toronto in all three home matches since the first Canadian team in MLS entered the league last year, but could only draw on the road the one time the two teams met in Canada.
It won't be easy for the Revs to get their first victory in Canada as several key players are likely to be unavailable. Speedy midfielder Sainey Nyassi is certain to miss out with a one game suspension for yellow card accumulation. Also out are forwards Kheli Dube and Adam Cristman due to injury.
Starting goalkeeper Matt Reis is likely out again in which case Doug Warren gets the nod in goal. Forward Kenny Mansally's lack of match fitness will likely leave the Revs short up top again.
Meanwhile, Toronto is still very much in the hunt for a playoff spot and has already surpassed its win total from last season. While Toronto has struggled on the road, at home it is an impressive 5-1-4. However, the team has recently seen a sharp dip in form after a great start to the season and since the beginning of May have only managed two wins.
Injuries have been a problem and defenders Tyrone Marshall and Todd Dunivant will both miss out again on Saturday, also likely to miss out is forward Danny Dichio.
But Toronto made a trade with the Revs recently to move up in the allocation order and used their new standing to bring in Connecticut native Johann Smith. His speed on the flanks or up top, could prove a difference maker, especially with the equally fast Nyassi unavailable for the Revs.
