The Revs hope to do a bit more celebrating in a few weeks. |
Both games will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and television coverage for the series will be announced at a later date.
The Revolution finished second in the Eastern Conference and enter the upcoming final weekend of regular-season action with a 14-8-7 record (49 pts.). New York clinched third place in the East last weekend and enter their final game of the regular season against Los Angeles on Thursday with a record of 12-11-6 (42 pts.).
This marks the third postseason meeting between the teams, with the Revs victorious in the two previous series. The clubs also met in the 2003 Eastern Conference Semifinals (the Revs won 3-1 in total goals) and in the 2005 Eastern Conference Semifinals (the Revs won 3-2 in total goals).
New England won the three-game regular-season series with New York, going 2-0-1 against the Red Bulls this season, including a 1-0-1 mark at Giants Stadium.
The Revolution conclude the 2007 regular season Saturday when the team makes its first-ever trip north of the border to face Toronto FC.
For playoff tickets start at $18 and are on sale now through the Revolution ticket office (1-877-GET-REVS) and Ticketmaster (617-931-2222).
