Renegades Edge Freedom

McConnell Goal Enough for 1-0 Win

June 2, 2008

Mary Therese McDonnell gave the Boston Renegades the lead in the 54th minute with what would eventually turn out to be the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over the Washington Freedom Sunday.

The Renegades improved to 3-1 in W-League play this year. The only goal of the match came from McDonnell, who deposited a feed from Alison Martino.

The Renegades next match is Saturday when they travel to Fredericksburg to meet the Lady Gunners at 3 p.m.
