Midfielder Named to Team of the Week After Big Goals

SoccerPlus Connecticut midfielder Becky Ryan was named to the Women’s Premier Soccer League’s Team of the week in a league announcement Tuesday.

With only seven minutes left to play vs. the A.C. Diablos (3-4-2 WPSL East) and down by a 1-0 score in a tight East playoff race, the Reds captain scored both the game-tying and winning goals in a three minute span to push SoccerPlus CT to a vital 3-2 win.

The victory improved the Reds to 3-5-1 in the WPSL East.
