The New England Revolution entered Saturday's match against Real Salt Lake a perfect 8-0-0 when scoring the first goal, so when Adam Cristman put them on top in just the 8th minute, things were looking bright. Salt Lake, however, came back thanks to an own goal by Jay Heaps and a second half strike by rookie Tino Nunez to get a 2-1 victory and remain unbeaten at home. The loss ends the Revs unbeaten run at 7 games.

Real Salt Lake had the first chance of the match in the 6th minute. Kenny Deuchar got on the end of a free kick from the right flank and sent a header towards goal from 6 yards out. Deuchar's header hit the far post and bounced unto play. Jamison Olave headed it back on frame, but 'keeper Matt Reis was there to make an easy save.

Two minutes later Cristman put the revs back on top when a mix-up between Nate Borchers and RSL goalie Nick Rimando allowed the Revs striker to get on the end of a long clearance from Reis. Cristman rose above Rimando near the top of the box to head the ball into the back of the empty net.

Just three minutes later the Revs gave the lead back when a Jay Heaps header redirected a Javier Morales free kick into the back of the net under pressure from Deuchar.

Cristman threatened again in the 19th minute after getting the ball from Sainey Nyassi near the top of the box. Cristman unleashed a long range shot that Rimando could only punch out of the box.

Chris Albright should have done better in the 29th minute when he lost his marker on a Steve Ralston corner kick. Albright, near the penalty spot, tried to direct a shot on frame, but sent it well wide of the net.

Nyassi had an opportunity in the 34th minute after a long pass from Dube found him on the right side of the box. The 19-year-old sent a hard shot to the far post, but Rimando managed to make the save.

Substitute Tino Nunez gave RSL the lead in the 60th minute. The rookie striker scored his first career MLS goal after a Javier Morales shot from about 25 yards out was deflected into the box. Nunez beat his defender to the ball and slotted it past Reis to give the home team a 2-1 lead.

Cristman had one last chance to tie it for the Revs in the 80th minute. The second year striker picked up the ball on the right flank and held off his defender on the way into the box, before unleashing a shot to the near post that Rimando could only tip wide.
