Pioneers Win Open Cup Game

Krause Named to Team of the Week

The Western Mass. Pioneers were triumphant in the first round of the Lamer Hunt US Open Cup, downing Boston Olympiakos, 2-0, on Tuesday.

Neil Krause, fresh off his Team of the Week honor, scored first in the 32nd minute for the eventual game-winner and Jeff Deren added a goal and an assist for the Pioneers.

Krause made the USL Second Division Team of the Week Tuesday after scoring two goals in a 3-1 Western Mass. win over Crystal Palace Baltimore.
