Kick off PDL Season Against NJ Rangers

April 29, 2009

The New Hampshire Phantoms kick off their season this Saturday when they hose the New Jersey Rangers.

The Phantoms finalized their roster with the signing of veteran Kyle Urso, Dan Cripe (Raymond, NH) and newcomers Brad Hilton (Merrimack, NH), Sean Coleman (Stratum, NH), and Chris Banks all of UNH. The Phantoms also added Baran Doenmez from Clarke University (Dublin, NH). Pending approval from the USL-PDL division and the US Soccer Federation these signings will bring the total number of Phantoms players from the state of New Hampshire to 15. Most of the 15 New Hampshire players are players that were members of the Phantoms youth program.

We have a good mixture of talent and it should make for a very interesting season, said Phantoms coach Jim DeDeus.

It will be the first game of the season for both Premier Development League clubs. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Southern New Hampshire University.

Following Saturdays game the Phantoms will be on the road for the next four games before returning home on May 22 to host the Ocean City Barons.
