The New England Mutiny’s Mary-Frances Monroe was honored for the second time this year as the WPSL’s Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The former Boston Breaker & U.S Women's National Team member’s five-goal, three-assist onslaught over the two games this past weekend help secure a spot for the Mutiny in the East Conference playoffs.

Monroe shared the weekly honor with Lindsay Giblin of the Florida Surge.

Joining Monroe and Giblin on the Team of the Week was defender Manya Makoski of SoccerPlus CT. Makoski has been rock solid for SoccerPlus CT, whose iron curtain defense has given up only one goal all year. With the win over New York, the undefeated Reds can now look forward to their second straight appearance in the East Conference playoffs.

Makoski’s teammate, forward Becky Ryan, was named a WPSL honorable mention for her two-goal performance against New York.
