A Mix of Old and New for Phantoms

On Saturday, May 2, the New Hampshire Phantoms of the USL PDL Division will officially kick off the 2009 season when they host the New Jersey Rangers on the campus of Southern New Hampshire University.
The team features a mixture of veterans and new faces, including the most New Hampshire natives (11) in team history.
“It will be exciting to see the new team dynamic,” said New Hampshire Head Coach, Jim DeDeus. “It should make for a very interesting season.”
Returning players are: defenders Matt Delaney, Gabe Mercier (SHNU) and Joe Annese and Patrick Gay (UNH), midfielders Brendan Joseph (SNHU), Michael Todesca (Northeastern University) and James Palumbo (NEC), strikers Nick Todesca (Wentworth Institute), Paulson Edum (SNHU), and keepers, Jon Mayo (SNHU) and Tim Murray (Providence College).
New signings for the 2009 season include keeper Phil Tuttle (Notre Dame), defenders Josh Grenier (Clayton University), Johany Gallego (Western Mass Pioneers) and Joey Barima (UNH), midfielders Johnny Valencia (UMass-Lowell) and Mike Adam (SNHU), and strikers Danny Hernandez, Ethan Lapierre (SNHU) and T.J. Thompson (Brown University).
