Mass. Youth Coach Honored
Former Breaker Coach Nabs Award Too

Michael Elster (boys) of Sutton (Mass.) Youth Soccer Club was one of two recipients of the 2007 US Youth Soccer adidas Competitive Coach of the Year award.
Elster joined Yon Struble of the Norcross Soccer Academy (girls) in Georgia as winners of the award, announced at the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala, held in conjunction with the US Youth Soccer adidas Workshop in Pittsburgh.
The regional winners included the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association’s Robbie Rickert.
Also, longtime coach and former Boston Breakers headman Jay Hoffman was the recipient of the Dr. Thomas Fleck, US Youth Soccer Excellence in Coaching Education Award. Hoffman, who was the very first coach of the Breakers, currently serves as the US Youth Soccer Region I ODP boys and Paralympic coach.
