Stars of Mass. and Oakwood SC in Finals

Two local New England clubs made it to championship games Saturday at Disney's Soccer Showcase.

The FC Stars of Massachusetts and Oakwood SC (Connecticut) qualified for the U-16 Girls’ Showcase Championship and U-15 Girls’ Copa Championship, respectively.

The two sides had different paths to get there. FC Stars of Mass. routed Spirit United SC, 4-0, in the Semifinals while Oakwood eked out a tight one, 2-1, over FC Revolution Dynamo.
