Lady Pioneers Remain Winless

Fall to 0-6 on Year

The Western Mass. Lady Pioneers fell to 0-6 in the W-League this year after two losses this weekend to Ottawa (1-0) and Laval (4-0).

The Pioneers played well Saturday, playing the Fury scoreless all day until Shay Powell gave Ottawa the win with a goal in the last minute of play.

Western Mass. gave up four goals, including three in the second half, in Sunday’s game, dropping a 4-0 decision to the Comets of Laval (Canada).

The Pioneers’ next match will come against the Hamilton Avalanche on June 22.
