Joseph has been voted to the MLS All-Star team for the sixth consecutive year, and will be among the 18 MLS All-Stars who face English Premier League club Everton FC in the 2009 MLS All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 29, at Rio Tinto Stadium in Salt Lake City. Kickoff is set for 9:30 p.m. ET and the match will be televised live by ESPN2 and Galavision.

Joseph a four-time First XI selection joins 10 other players in the First XI: keeper Kasey Keller and midfielder Freddie Ljungberg of Seattle; defender Geoff Cameron and midfielder Stuart Holden of Houston; defender Chad Marshall and midfielder Guillermo Barros from Columbus; Chicago Fire defender Wilman Conde, Toronto FC midfielder Dwayne De Rosario, Colorado Rapids forward Conor Casey and L.A. Galaxy forward Landon Donovan.

Online fan balloting comprised 25 percent of the total vote for the All-Star First XI. The remaining 75 percent was comprised of voting by coaches and general managers (25 percent), players (25 percent) and media (25 percent).

Houston Dynamos staff, led by head coach Dominic Kinnear, will lead the MLS All-Stars against Everton. Following the First XI announcement, Kinnear will select five additional players and MLS Commissioner Don Garber will make two selections to round out the 18-player gameday roster. The remaining seven players on the 18-man roster will be announced Monday.

The First XI is not necessarily the All-Star games starting 11, as Kinnear will select the starters based on player availability and tactical considerations.
