Indoor: Twisters Win First Game

Massachusetts Improves to 1-3 in AISL

The Massachusetts Twisters won their first game of the season Saturday, beating the Northern Illinois Rebels, 10-3, in American Indoor Soccer League action in front of 561 at the Eastern States Coliseum.

Jeff Deren led the offensive parade for the Twisters (1-3), chipping in a two-point goal and a one-pointer. John Carson scored his first two-pointer of the season for the Twisters, and Kyle Texieira, Everson Maciel, and Nick Burke each chipped in a one-pointer.

Sinisa Alebic led the Rebels (1-3) with two one-point goals.

Paul DelloStritto earned the win in goal, making 16 saves.

The Twisters return to the pitch next Saturday night (7:30p.m.) when they host the Cincinnati Excite at the Eastern States Coliseum. The Rebels will also be in action next Saturday night when they travel to Rockford to take on the Rampage.
