Help Boston Girls Play Soccer
CityKicks Benefits Inner-city Girls
January 6, 2008
You can help disadvantaged Boston girls play soccer.
CityKicks, a developmental soccer program provided after school to underprivledged inner-city girls, is trying to raise money for its programs through the Boston Marathon. CityKicks has two numbers for runners who will raise money for its after-school and youth development program.
The organization hopes to generate $3,500 in donations per runner. The money goes directly to girls who otherwise have no opportunity to experience the joy and benefits of playing soccer and belonging to a team. CityKicks furnishes everything the girls need to learn and play soccer: coaching, equipment, transportation, field scheduling, referees and refreshments.
You can check out CityKicks' website here.
