Kartsonis Named Ivy League ROTW

Harvard women’s soccer freshman forward Kerry Kartsonis was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
Kartsonis notched big points in both Harvard 1-0 victories over Fairfield and Cornell last week.
Against Fairfield, Kartsonis struck just over a minute into the second half when she took a pass along the right sideline, evaded two tackles to the middle and ripped a shot to the upper left corner of the net for her first career goal. Against Cornell, Kartsonis tallied an assist on the game’s only goal to get Harvard its first league victory.
The wins improve Harvard to 7-3-1 overall and 1-1 in the Ancient Eight.
Sophomore goalie Lauren Mann also earned a spot on the Honor Roll for the week. Mann recorded four saves in each victory to pick up her sixth and seventh shutouts of the season.
