Clark Leaves Harvard for Creighton

Harvard University Soccer Coach Jamie Clark has resigned to take over as head coach of Creighton University.
Clark, who served as head coach of the Crimson for two seasons, guided Harvard to a 26-10-1 (.716) overall record, including a 10-3-1 mark (.750) in Ivy League contests. He helped the Crimson win the program’s 13th Ivy League title in 2009, as the team went 14-4-1 and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament. Clark also led the Crimson to a 12-6 overall mark and the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2008.
Clark played professional soccer in MLS for the San Jose Earthquakes, as well as in Scotland for Aberdeen, Falkirk, and Raith Rovers, from 1999 to 2002 before going into coaching after an injury forced him to retire from playing. He was an assistant coach at the University of New Mexico and University of Notre Dame before taking the head coach job at Harvard in 2008.
Clark’s father, Bobby is a former Scottish National Team goalkeeper, and currently coaches the University of Notre Dame.
In its storied program history, Harvard has advanced to the NCAA Championships 16 times , including the last four seasons. The Crimson has won 13 Ivy League championships and has had six players selected in the MLS SuperDraft, including three in the last two years.
