Bouchelle gave the Eagles (12-4-2, 6-3-1) the lead when she headed in a corner kick from senior Caitlin Hiler at the 61:18 mark. Bouchelle connected with Hiler’s corner kick in the middle of the box and headed the ball into the far corner for a 1-0 lead.

Bouchelle had a great chance in the first half when she ripped a shot from just outside the box to the near post. The shot just went wide of the goal at 37:20 in the game.

Earlier in the second half, sophomore Amy Caldwell had a great opportunity when she headed a cross from Hiler to the near post. Clemson goalkeeper Paula Pritzen (eight saves) just stuck out her hand and deflected the ball wide to keep the Tigers tied at 54:29 in the game.

The Eagles outshot Clemson, 23-4, and held the Tigers to zero shots in the second half. The Eagles also had nine corner kicks to the Tigers three.

Boston College senior goalkeeper Sarah Buonomo earned her first start of the season and was credited with her 17th career shutout.

The sixth conference victory is the most by BC since joining the ACC in 2005. The loss dropped Clemson to 5-11-1 (1-8-1 ACC).
