Manswell Named ACC Player of the Week

After winning the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season championship, the Boston College men's soccer team will be the No. 1 seed in the 2007 ACC Tournament and will play the winner of Tuesday’s game between Virginia and North Carolina State.
The four-day ACC Tournament opens with the eight-seed Cavaliers facing ninth-seeded NC State on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. at the SAS Soccer Complex in Cary, N.C.
All games are available online through ACCSelect.com, while the championship game will be nationally-televised on Fox Sports Net.
Additionally, Boston College senior striker Sherron Manswell has earned ACC Player of the Week honors after he recorded five points - two goals and one assist - in BC's victory over No. 8 Virginia Tech on Friday night. The victory secured the league's regular-season title.
Manswell scored his seventh and eighth goals of the season in the second half to snap a 1-1 tie and lift BC to the victory.
