Senior Caitlin Hiler, who finished with a goal and one assist, got the Eagles on the board first at 4:46. Hiler headed in a ball over the Miami goalkeeper Vikki Alonzo. Alonzo made an initial save on a shot from freshman Julia Bouchelle and Hiler cleaned up the loose ball for a 1-0 BC lead. It was Hiler's first goal of the season.

Hiler set up the second goal by finding Bouchelle in the box. Bouchelle's shot was then deflected by sophomore Brooke Knowlton past a diving Alonzo at 17:08. Knowlton now leads the Eagles in scoring with six goals and two assists for 14 points.

Boston College's next two goals were within a three minute span. Bouchelle scored off a pass from Knowlton at 51:22. It was Bouchelle's fourth goal of the season.

Freshman defender Alyssa Pember ended the scoring with her first career goal. In a crowded box, sophomore Chelsea Regan found Pember, who slid the ball by Alonzo to extend BC's lead, 4-0.

Miami scored its lone goal off a set piece when Ashlee Burt deflected a shot by Lauren Singer at 59:26 past BC goalkeeper Jillian Mastroianni.

BC finished with a 31-4 shot advantage, including an 11-2 shots on goal difference. The Eagles also recorded 11 corner kicks to zero for Miami.

Next, BC will host No. 11 Florida State on Sunday, October 5 a 1 p.m.
