The Major League Soccer player of the week is selected each week by a panel of journalists from the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR).

Dubes hat trick was the first of his career and included his fourth, fifth and team co-leading sixth goals of the season. It also marked his first multiple-goal effort in his two-year career.

This is Dubes first-ever player of the week award, and the teams second of the season. Taylor Twellman earned the award following a two-goal performance, including his 100th career goal, against the New York Red Bulls June 7.

Dube and the New England Revolution (8-6-6, 30 points) return to action on Saturday, when they host the San Jose Earthquakes at Gillette Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m., and TV38 will televise the game live.
