December 13, 2008

Seven players with local ties made the NSCAA/adidas Division III Men’s All-American teams.

Goalkeeper Brian Bush of Middlebury College, midfielder Yuta Kizaki of Salem State and forward Tim Winn of Babson College were all named to the First Team.

The Second Team featured defender Kyle Bedini of Eastern Connecticut State, back James Maples of Western New England College and Rhode Island native Matt Carlson of Johns Hopkins.

Rounding out the local flavor was Amherst College defender Grayson Holland, who garnered Third Team honors.

The All-America selections are invited to be recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held in St. Louis, Mo., on Saturday, Jan. 17, as part of the 2009 NSCAA Convention.
