HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth men's soccer players Craig Henderson Daniel Keat have helped their native New Zealand seal a bid for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Henderson and Keat helped lead New Zealand’s Under-23 team to a 5-0 record in the Oceania Olympic Qualifying tournament held in Lautoka, Fiji, earning the country’s first-ever berth in the summer games.

The Wellington, New Zealand natives weren’t just bystanders, either. Keat’s corner kick set up the dramatic game-winning goal in New Zealand's 2-1 victory over Lautoka and Henderson's insurance goal from 25 meters out gave New Zealand a 2-0 shutout of the Solomon Islands.

Last summer, Henderson and Keat represented New Zealand as members of the U-20 National Team at the Youth World Cup.

New Zealand has not yet announced its roster for the 29th Olympiad, which will take place from August 8-24 in Beijing, China.
