Dartmouth Pair Rep New Zealand

Will Suit Up For Homeland's National Team

HANOVER, N.H. -- Dartmouth men's soccer players Craig Henderson and Daniel Keat have been named to their homeland New Zealand's national team.

The Wellington, New Zealand natives had previously been members of their country’s Under-20 National squad and each is making his first appearance on the full national team. Last summer the Dartmouth players competed for New Zealand at the U-20 Youth World Cup.

Henderson, a junior forward, lead the Big Green in scoring last season with 16 points on six goals and four assists. Sophomore midfielder Keat notched scored twice and notched a pair of assists for a fourth-best total of six points.

Both players are currently in New Zealand training for the Oceania Olympic Qualifying Tournament that will take place in Lautoka, Fiji March 1-9. New Zealand is one of six nations vying for Oceania's spot in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

The Kiwis first game will be on Saturday, March 1 against host Fiji.
