Bright Soccer Players Around New England

All-Academic List Released

Local soccer players from the top colleges and universities in New England littered the ESPN The Magazine 2007 Academic All-District 1 Team, released Thursday by the College Spots Information Directors of America.

Five New England players made the First Team, while nine more earned second-team recognition.

Dartmouth midfielder Nick Christman, UConn midfielder Avigdor Arad, UMass defender Douglas Rappaport, Brown forward Dylan Sheehan and Harvard striker Michael Fucito made the First Team.

Second Team honors went to UMass goalie Zack Simmons, Dartmouth keeper Sean Milligan, Holy Cross midfielder Andreas Andrews and forward Felipe Cartrillon, Yale midfielder Tyler Guse, Central Connecticut midfielder Yan Klukowski, Brown defender Matt Britner, Vermont defender Connor Tobin, and Northeastern forward Ahmed Talaat.
