Moore, who was Boston's second selection in last week's WPS Draft (third round, 15th overall), has eight previous caps with the U-23 squad. She is a two-time Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year at the University of Texas who shared the team lead in scoring in 2008 with 16 points (six goals and four assists).

The three-time All-American finished her collegiate career ranked first in the Longhorn record books in matches played (91), second in game-winning goals (nine), ninth in goals (19) and 10th in points (50).

The U.S. U-23 team will travel to Europe from Jan. 31 to Feb. 7 for two matches as part of a three-team competition in La Manga, Spain. The USA will face Norway on Feb. 4 and England on Feb. 6.

This will be the first U.S. U-23 roster that features a majority of professional players, with 11 of the 18 having been drafted by clubs in the new WPS. The youth national team was run as a U-21 program during the three years of WUSA's existence. U.S. head coach Bill Irwin chose the roster after a January training camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
