Breakers Cut Weimer, Two Others

Igwe, Enyeart Also Put On Waivers

The Boston Breakers have waived forwards Tiffany Weimer and Michelle Enyeart as well as midfielder Chioma Igwe from their roster.

Igwe, who was acquired by Boston as a free agent after the 2010 pre-season appeared in six games for the Breakers this season making six starts. The Belmont, California native also played in 15 games for the Chicago Red Stars in 2009, starting in 11 of them.

Also signed as a free agent in 2010, Weimer switched coasts along with former FC Gold Pride teammate Leslie Osborne. For Boston, the North Haven, Conn. native has made seven game appearances, including two starts. In 2009, she tallied one goal and three assists in 15 games for the Bay Area team, posting ten starts.

Drafted along with Stephanie Cox in the Los Angeles Sol dispersal, Enyeart has had to sit out the 2010 season due to a knee injury she endured in her senior season at the University of Portland.
