Breakers Announce Preseason Schedule
Scrimmages Against UConn, BC On Tap

WESTWOOD, Mass. – The Boston Breakers announced their 2009 preseason schedule, which features a six-game preseason slate, including scrimmages against UConn and Boston College.
Professional women's soccer officially returns to Boston this Sunday, the first day of preseason, at the indoor bubble at Harvard Stadium. Day one will feature the team's first formal practice from 10 a.m. to Noon. Several area youth soccer teams have also been invited to welcome the team to Boston as they watch the final half-hour and stick around for autographs after the training session.
Training will continue every day for the first week until the team's first scrimmage at the University of Connecticut, Friday, March 6 at 9 a.m. After the team's second scrimmage at Boston College, Wednesday, March 12 (Noon), the team will embark on a 10-day trip to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., for more training sessions.
The Breakers will have three scrimmages in the Sunshine State, including their lone preseason meeting with a fellow WPS team, the Chicago Red Stars, on Wednesday, March 18.
The Breakers return to training in Boston on Wednesday, March 25, and will host their first scrimmage at Harvard Stadium on Sunday, March 29 at 3 p.m. against an opponent to be determined.
The Breakers, and the newly formed Women’s Professional Soccer, will start the season on April 5.
