Bonfigli, a junior forward, tallied five points (one goal, three assists) to lead the host Catamounts to their first TD Bank Classic title since 2003 last week.
The tournament’s Offensive MVP, Bonfigli assisted on all three goals in UVM’s 3-2 overtime win over Montreal, a Canadian Championship semifinalist in 2008, on Friday. She followed with her fourth career score in a 2-2 tie against Central Connecticut Sunday.
St. Martin scored five of Stonehill’s six goals during a 2-0 start to its season over the weekend. She netted a hat trick in Saturday's 3-1 victory over Holy Family University, before adding two goals in Sunday's 3-2 win over Georgian Court University - an NCAA tournament participant last fall - scoring the match-winner in double-overtime.
Through the first weekend in the season, St. Martin shares the NE-10 lead with five goals and ten points. Her two match-winning goals are also good for a share of first among conference leaders.
St. Martin has totaled 16 goals and six assists for 38 points in 31 career matches played. Her five goals this weekend are already just one shy of her career season-best of six set last season.
