The junior is the second Eagle to earn National Player of the Week laurels after senior striker Sherron Manswell captured the honor on Sept. 18. It was also the third time Bedoya earned the ACC Player of the Week award. He previously captured co-ACC honors on Sept. 25 and Oct. 8.

The Weston, Fla., resident, is BC's top scorer with 21 points on seven goals and seven assists through 14 games this season.

Boston College is 10-3-1, ranked No. 6 in the latest Soccer America poll and sit atop the ACC standings with a 6-0-0 record in league play.

BC Notes:

In other Boston College soccer news, women’s soccer freshman Natalie Crutchfield shared Co-ACC Player of the Week honors with Wake Forest’s Jill Hutchinson this week as announced by the conference office.

Crutchfield, a native of Acton, Mass., came up big on Sunday. Her goal helped the Eagles stun No. 3 Virginia, 1-0, in an ACC match. Crutchfield, who earned her first start of the season, scored at 87:12 in the game off a nice pass from sophomore Gina DiMartino.

It was Crutchfield’s second career goal and second game-winning goal of the season. She now has two goals and four assists for eight points.

The Eagles are currently ranked 16th in the nation by Soccer Buzz.. Soccer America has the Eagles currently ranked 11th in this week’s poll.

Boston College (10-3-3), which has two conference games remaining, currently sits in sixth place in the conference with a 3-3-2 record.
