Bedoya, Brown Make All-ACC Team

Eagles' Worley Earns Freshmen Honors

Boston College men’s soccer seniors Alejandro Bedoya and Chris Brown earned All-ACC first-team honors while forward Edvin Worley earned All-ACC Freshman team recognition, according to an announcement by the league this week.

Bedoya, a senior midfielder, also earned All-Conference first-team recognition in 2007. Senior goalkeeper Brown captured All-Conference second-team honors last fall.

Bedoya enters the league tournament championship with a team-high 16 points – six goals and four assists – in 12 games in 2008. In league ACC play action, he led all players in shots (35) and shots per game (4.38) while finishing second in points (16), points per game (2.00), goals (six), goals per game (0.75), assists (four) and assists per game (0.50).

Brown has played in and started all 17 games and has registered an 8-7-2 record, a 1.07 goals-against average and a .635 save percentage. He recorded three shutouts. In ACC action, Brown finished 4-4-0 with a 1.35 goals against average and a .560 save percentage.

Worley, a forward, finished the 2008 regular season ranked second on the team with 13 points on four goals and a team-high five assists. He led the team with three game-winning goals and finished third among all BC players with 32 shots.
