Alongside Lima, the Select continues to round out its roster with five more signings as Skyy Anderson (University of Maryland), Nicole Stenquist (Williams College), Kelly Matthews (Northeastern University), Courtney Findlan (University of Rhode Island) and Emily Milone (Mercer University) will also join the squad.
“We continue to add strength and depth to our roster,” said head coach Jim Leaverton. “The latest players to sign show our resolve in striving toward developing a significant dedication toward building a very competitive side.”
Lima will also serve as technical trainer and assistant coach for the South Shore Selects. Lima was one of the first players signed in the Select’s inaugural season and was also the team's first and only captain. Anderson - a Cambridge, Mass. native - played in 16 games for the Terrapins last season.
Stenquist played in 21 games while starting 19 as she helped the 19-1-1 Williams women’s soccer team to a Division III national semifinal berth. Matthews started all 23 games for her Northeastern University side and scored two goals - including the game-ending penalty against Harvard to advance the Huskies to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Findlan played in 17 games and started 15 for URI. Milone, hindered by injuries last fall played in seven games as a freshman for Mercer.
Bay State Select play their home games at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass., and open the season at home May 9 against New York Athletic Club.
