In the second half, Dartmouth came out strong, their pressure paying off in the 56th minute on Quick’s first goal of the season on a long lob into the far left corner that just barely snuck inside the post.
The ball eluded BU’s Christina Reuter, who made six saves, including one in overtime to bring the Terriers to 5-5-2. Dartmouth, now 3-7-1, got equally strong play from Amanda Webb, who stopped five shots.
Redshirt freshman Taleen Dimirdjian nearly gave the Terriers the lead when she sent a header for the low corner, but Webb made a diving save to preserve the tie.
In overtime, BU had the first golden opportunity on a corner kick from Marisha Schumacher-Hodge, when Dimirdjian put a header just wide of the net. On the next counter, Dartmouth hit the post and sent a ball high on the rebound. Dartmouth's Maggie Goldstein placed a shot on target on a free kick, but Reuter made the save to preserve the tie and put the game in double overtime.
In the second and final overtime freshman Brittany Heist nearly gave the Terriers the win, sending a shot that went just left of the post.
