BC Men Fall to No. 24 NC State

Late OT Goal Does in Eagles

Tyler Lassiter snapped a 1-1 tie in the 103rd minute with his second goal of the match to lift the No. 24 NC State soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Boston College before 1,000 fans at Dail Soccer Field.

Prior to his golden goal in double overtime, Lassiter converted on a penalty kick at 64:34. In fact, two of the game�s three goals were scored in penalty-kick situations and a total of three penalty kicks were called.

BC sophomore Conor Fitzpatrick converted a penalty kick in the sixth minute for the game�s first goal in the sixth minute. The visiting Eagles (5-5, 1-2 ACC) maintained their one-goal advantage into halftime.

Freshman goalkeeper Justin Luthy, who tallied six saves on the night, stopped NC State forward Ronnie Bouemboue�s penalty kick in the 15th minute.

Bouemoue assisted on Lassiter�s game-winning goal and tallied a game-high eight shots.

The host Wolf Pack (6-2-1, 1-2-1 ACC) tallied a 19-7 edge in shots in the match and totaled a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Fitzpatrick and freshman forward Charlie Rugg paced the BC offensive attack with two shots apiece.

Next, Boston College will host Yale in non-conference action on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
