Area Clubs Academy Wrap-Up

Mixed Results for Four Local Teams

In Soccer New England’s continued coverage of New England’s four Development Academy teams, last weekend saw FC Greater Boston, Oakwood Soccer Club, South Central Premier and Seacoast United go a combined 4-8-2.

Oakwood led the way with a 2-0-1 mark last Saturday and Sunday. Its Under-17/18 squad was undefeated on the weekend, beating Met Oval, 1-0, and drawing with FC Westchester, 1-1. The club’s only setback was a 2-0 loss to Met Oval in the U-15/16 bracket.

Seacoast had a great showing in the older age group, also going undefeated in the U17/18 docket. United downed Albertson Soccer Club, 2-1, and triumphed over GW Gottschee, 1-0.

FC Greater Boston had one loss and one tie in the results obtained by SNE. Two scores were still TBA.

South Central Premier struggled in results last weekend, going 0-4, albeit never losing a game by more than one goal.
